Shell/Motiva Exceeds Goal – Raises $6.7+ Million
Congratulations to Shell Oil Company and Motiva Enterprises for raising more than $6.7 million for United Way of Greater Houston. John Hofmeister, president, Shell Oil Company, and other company representatives announced the results at a celebration held at The Plaza Club on January 8.
Anna M. Babin, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Houston, and Mike Ballases, chairman of JPMorgan Chase-Houston and 2007-08 United Way community campaign chair, accepted a large check from Hofmeister, and Randy Braud, 2007-08 Shell/Motiva campaign chair. "We are so appreciative of the efforts, generosity and volunteerism shown by the employees and retirees of Shell and Motiva," said Babin. "Over the years, Shell and Motiva have demonstrated strong leadership in times of need.
